TechSwitch offer a free 12 week coding bootcamp, followed by an 18 month paid industry placement. The course is focused on retraining people with no previous experience in the sector to be professional developers.

The bootcamp provides training in the basics of software development and dives into programming languages. Training is also provided in agile ways of working, DevOPs, software design, testing and relevant soft skills.

Key details of the bootcamp

• No previous experience is required to participate (but the application process requires you to teach yourself some JavaScript).
• The course is full-time and free to train.
• Every learner has a personal mentor to provide stability, career advice and to answer any questions.
• Upon course completion help is given to secure an 18-month full-time paid industry placement within a software development team. This placement includes a pension scheme and 20 days holiday.
