FROM NONPROFIT TO NONPROFIT

FROM NONPROFIT TO NONPROFIT

Suffering from burnout, Beth Fenger had been trying to figure out what to do next and not getting very far. The Launch Pad gave her the community and structure she needed to clarify her options and make her shift.

What were you doing for work before taking part in the Launch Pad and how did you feel about your work?

I spent the last sixteen years of my career in the nonprofit sector.

Through 60hr work weeks and a bunch of different organisations and jobs, I found myself on the far end of the burnout spectrum. I was just feeling completely disconnected from what I was doing everyday.

Why did you decide to take part in the Launch Pad?

I hesitated signing up, as I didn't know if this was the right thing for me.

Then I realised I'd been trying to do this all on my own – Careershifers had a proven method of figuring things out.

So I thought, 'OK, I'm not going to waste any more time trying to figure this out, I'm just going to do the course.'

What was the biggest difference the Launch Pad made for you and your shift?

I came away with much more clarity about what I'm really good at and what I could do as career opportunities.

I went from about 50 potential career options down to about three. I just felt this sense of relief and clarity that I hadn't had before.

A weight was lifted off of my shoulders.

The Launch Pad aso gave me a really great group of folks who are my support team. We're still in touch after the course and we're supporting eachother through this journey.

It's been a really positive experience for me.

You can find full details about the course on our dedicated Launch Pad page.
