Richard came up with the idea for Careershifters when he struggled with his own career change in 2004.
His background includes 16 years in entrepreneurship, coaching and leadership development. He co-founded an award-winning incubator for social entrepreneurs in India, as well as helping to set up a number of other social businesses in the UK and India. He's also been an IT/business consultant, journalist, environmental researcher and monk's assistant.
In 2012, Natasha quit her charity sector career with a one-way ticket to Greece and no idea what to do next.
Since then, she’s lived in 12 different countries, and through her work as Head Coach and writer at Careershifters, helped thousands of people find fulfilling work.
With 20 years’ training and experience in personal development, performing arts, facilitation and coaching, leading transformative experiences is Natasha’s sweet-spot.

You’ll not only be joining an outstanding cohort of like-minded coaches, but also a wider community of coaches who’ve been trained by — and who work with — us across the world.
If you’re interested in working with Careershifters as a coach, this training is the pre-requisite for doing so. It qualifies you (but does not guarantee you) to be selected as a coach for our workshops and one-on-one coaching – and is a stepping stone to our advanced Certification programmes.

"The training was full of energy, very engaging, informal yet professional. It gave me fresh ideas and knowledge -- and a renewed confidence in my approach. As a result of taking part, I’m now working with Careershifters as a coach in their London workshops. "

"The training has enabled me to take my career coaching to a new level. Its innovative tools, approaches and philosophy has enabled me to work with both individuals and groups in a new, powerful way. More surprisingly I’ve also found the course has strengthened my coaching approach more broadly and I frequently find myself referencing its principles in completely different coaching scenarios. "

"The training has improved my confidence to use action based interventions as part of my client offer. My clients love it as it brings them new perspectives and enables them to explore being different in the world, safely and playfully. "

"A great fresh new approach. My previous way of working was more linear, but this approach helps clients embrace and acknowledge the chaos they feel within themselves when going through a career switch. It also teaches them how to deal with the internal conflict using playfulness and lightness. "

"I can’t say enough about the quality of the training and its leading-edge knowledge of career change. Through it, I have increased my skills, knowledge and confidence in supporting my clients. I also enjoyed the strong connections made with other terrific, like-minded career coaches. "

"The Practitioner Training disrupted in a very positive way my thinking around how to get clients unstuck. After going through the experience, I've now successfully established the Careershifters workshop in Manchester. "
We’re looking for existing coaches who are genuinely passionate (and focused) on career transition work, and who are willing to actively contribute to the course -- and their fellow participants.
The Lean Career Change Practitioner training will give you an approach and a set of tools that are unique.
Developed by Careershifters over more than 14 years of work, these take a non-traditional approach to career coaching, drawing on design thinking, entrepreneurship and experiential learning. They're designed to help your clients more easily identify other career options, test them out in risk-free ways and generate opportunities in the fields they're most interested in.
There are two initial, short days of core training. In the six months afterwards, there'll be a series of monthly 1-hour mentoring calls and your own work with clients, where we hope you'll be practising using the methodology and tools.
We’ll set these with you at the beginning of the course.
Each intake is different, but you can expect up to 10 coaches to be part of your cohort.
