Careershifters in the media

By Richard on 27 April 2007 at 07:04 in Careershifters Blog

Well, we're starting to spread the word about Careershifters.

With the help of Cath, our PR maestro (and a career shifter herself), we orchestrated a bit of a media launch this week. And results are looking good. Although we narrowly missed slots on Working Lunch and BBC London radio, we have popped up in quite a few other places:

  • Guardian Unlimited featured Careershifters in their piece about Relieving the nine-to-five grind and asked the interesting question "so how do you know if it's really a career change you want rather than just being frustrated with your job?" (we think it's about the level of action you're prepared to take - but what do you think?)
  • Gill Stannard, who writes the Healthtrip blog, has written about us and pulled out Jessica's McGregor Johnson's excellent One Inspired Thought article
  • Online Recruitment have run with our launch story
  • Brett Iredale of Now Hiring (a recruitment website down under) has also covered us in very complimentary terms - thank you Brett
  • And Oli Barrett has kindly picked up the story on his ever fascinating Daily Networker blog. Never one to leave you without knowing something new, he tells us that Jim Bowen used to be a teacher before his now legendary TV quiz show career.

More to follow we expect, but if you have any media contacts you think would be interested in the concept and some of the many case studies we now have, do let us know.
