Time is nearly upon me to do what I've been planning to do for the past 18 months and finally leave the UK to volunteer abroad. I leave on the 16th of April and I'll be spending 5.5 months in Delhi working for an environmental charity and then a further 3-4 months travelling back to the UK very slowly indeed.

Everything's a bit wibbly: the leap into the (un)known

Given it's only been two weeks you'd think I'd be fairly positive about my move. The problem is I'm still a bit 'wibbly' [techincal term] about the whole thing. That at the end of it, I will end up finding my calling in life and not fail, returning to a mundane 5-day week.

So part of my career shift involves some coaching. To get a fresh set of eyes and an experienced brain to help me work on a problem I've been struggling with for the past few years. Tonight I saw a Career Coach and tonight I have a lot to think about.

A faltering start to a new beginning

So there I was. Staring at a computer screen wondering what on earth I was doing there. Six weeks into a Graduate Trainee scheme and the job I thought would be the change I needed was anything but. Six weeks is not a long time, I know. But that moment has sparked off a change in my mental state which has given me a new found sense of hope for the future.
