Monday 12 April 2010   6:30pm – 9:15pm

A brand new workshop – powerful, practical and inspiring – to help you through that first essential stage of changing career, figuring out what is you want from your new career.

This 2 ½ hour workshop costs less than a one hour session with a career coach!

Tickets £85 £75* (save £10), or bring a friend and pay just £70 each (save £15)

*This is less than the average £100 per hour charged by many career coaches

The first step to any career change is to get a clear understanding of what is important to you, to then figure out what the right career is for you - that's what this workshop is all about!

Why start here?

Simple. Often career changers ‘jump in at the deep end’ of career change, trying to list job options before thinking about what exactly they want to get out of a career change. This can result in a lot of frustration, and rarely results in a good career change. Why? Because picking a new career without understanding your ‘basic me-criteria’ is akin to closing your eyes and picking a career at random. No wonder people spend years going around in circles trying to decide what to do next!

Through this workshop, you learn how to choose a new career, the right way.

What you'll get out of this workshop

With a real understanding of yourself you can create a list of your career ‘must haves’ and ‘deal breakers’. This means:
  • You will have criteria for deciding which careers to explore and which to eliminate.
  • You will understand how to filter your search by what makes you tick, what motivates you, what environment is right for you.
  • In short, your career change will be better, more effective, and more likely to fulfil its main objective – giving you real career satisfaction!

What you'll cover in the workshop

  • What is important to you and what does that mean for a career change? Clarifying your personal values and motivators.
  • Take the opportunity to hear from successful career changers, as well as interact with people going through the same experiences as you right now.
  • Think outside the box and look at things from a new angle: draw on your experiences to understand what does work for you and how to harness that.
  • Understand what it is you want to leave behind, and what future you want to create for yourself
  • Create a tailored action plan so you can take the first steps to turn your new understanding into a real career change. You will know which actions you should stop, which you should start, and the ones that work well for you.
  • Stop Thinking, Start Doing!

"For £85 you can stop just dreaming of the career you want and start getting there. We think that’s even better than buying a pair of new shoes!"
