Proof that the Universe helps when you take a leap of faith

By Selina Barker

I'm not kidding. The day after I decided to just go for it and put my time and energy into something I believed in, rather than what logic and common sense dictated, the Universe landed me a sweet reward.

£4,000 smackers!

Turns out I had forgotten about it and left it in a savings account with my old bank when I moved to another one. Quite how I didn't notice it at the time I don't know. I mean it's one thing to discover a tenner in a winter coat that's been hidden away all summer but...£4,000!

My mother hit her head in despair when I told her. This is awful! she groaned, dismayed at the lack of attention I give my finances. No, this is brilliant.

First chance I could I ran into the old bank branch with my passport, I was slightly concerned it might be an admin mistake. But no. I'm just really forgetful. It was left overs from days of careful saving of my student loan. I was waiting for a rainy day I suppose. Well, now it's raining...

Thank you Universe.
