Career Inspiration: Reconnecting with Lost Passions

By Sab

Hi there,

This week during my research I kept coming across people who have recovered interests they thought were lost to history. It got me thinking about any I may have abandoned - and a big one was being involved in music. I used to be in choirs, played instruments since the age of 6, led rock bands, went to dance classes and went to a gig at least once a month. It was pretty much my life. Now I just listen to music when I go running. Eeek! What happened to my passion?! Am I living a less passionate life now because there’s less music in my life? Maybe…
How about you? Can you remember the feeling of being utterly absorbed with something that’s almost non-existent in your life now? Do you want to reconnect with that?

This is amazing, and affirming for me! I’m such a ‘I wanna do that and that and that’ person and have had a feeling that I can’t do it all- that you have to pick one thing. Well clearly this woman refused to pick one thing and had a blast, proving it can be done
